Job Description

Job Description

Lancium is a Texas-based energy technology and infrastructure company focused on developing and operating gigawatt-scale AI data center campuses. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, we integrate grid interconnections, behind-the-meter generation, and energy storage to deliver the reliable, large-scale power infrastructure required to support advanced AI workloads. As of August 2026, Lancium has approximately 4 GW of capacity under lease and a development pipeline exceeding 15 GW of powered land, positioning us as one of the largest power-secured AI infrastructure platforms in North America.

\n

\n

In August 2026, Lancium announced a $3 billion strategic investment and partnership with NVIDIA. Lancium is also backed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and Shell, reflecting strong institutional support for our vision of becoming a leading provider of AI infrastructure at scale.

\n

The rapid growth of artificial intelligence and the enormous energy demand it creates are defining forces of our time. Meeting that demand with reliable power, while integrating clean energy resources wherever possible, is central to this transformation. Lancium is at the epicenter, uniquely positioned to enable the next generation of AI infrastructure and the opportunities it will unlock.

What You'll Do

\n

Lancium is seeking a highly experienced Local On-Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a multi-year AI data center campus. The site includes HV/MV substations and electrical backbone infrastructure built and owned by Lancium, while tenant constructors build and operate their own facilities. Peak site mobilization can exceed 4,000+ personnel across multiple trades.

\n

This role represents the company on the ground and ensures the site is safe, lawful, constructible-at scale, and welcomed by the local community. The On-Site Manager will coordinate daily field operations, manage interfaces between contractors, utilities, public agencies, and community stakeholders, and report to both functional management and projectized Project/Operations Management.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n

  • \n
  • Access, Security, Traffic & Logistics: Manage site access, traffic, and security in collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Workforce & Community Impact: Coordinate local hiring, training, and housing/transport solutions. Monitor workforce accommodation and conditions if on-site camps are used.
  • \n
  • EHS Leadership: Enforce Lancium EHS expectations across all contractors and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
  • \n
  • Permitting & Compliance: Ensure local permits and regulations are adhered to for all hired work.
  • \n
  • Security & Emergency Management: Develop and post emergency procedures, including “grab and go” protocols.
  • \n
  • Media & Issues Management: Act as first responder for on-site media inquiries in accordance with corporate communications protocols.
  • \n
  • Utilities & Interconnections: Coordinate tie-ins, outages, and energization windows with utility, TSP, TDU, gas, water, and telecom providers.
  • \n
  • Landlord & Lease Management: Enforce lease boundaries, easements, ROWs, and site standards.
  • \n
  • Cost & Schedule Oversight: Track field productivity, escalate risks early, maintain integrated site master schedule, and log constraints affecting owners, tenants, and agencies.
  • \n
  • Turnover Readiness: Support Project and Operations Managers during energization events.
  • \n
  • Site Monitoring & Reporting: Use drone tools and surveillance to track progress and percent complete. Conduct site tours for VIPs and stakeholders, documenting status.
  • \n
\n

\n

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Monitor daily activities of all primes and utilities.
  • \n
  • Track access, EHS, emergency routes, call trees, and weather event responses.
  • \n
  • Manage interface clashes for laydown, duct banks, outages, road crossings, and energization.
  • \n
  • Maintain community relations cadence.
  • \n
  • Oversee traffic, parking, and road repairs.
  • \n
  • Approve working plans affecting shared assets.
  • \n
  • Guide incident response and investigations.
  • \n
  • Maintain issues and commitments register.

  • Support major deliveries and ensure coordination with key stakeholders.
